[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]With every shot fired from a normal barrel, the bullet powder usually continues to burn after the bullet exits the muzzle. This is felt by the flip and seen by the focus of the mouse.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image="100063" img_size="medium"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/4"][vc_column_text]
A longer barrel [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] ensures complete combustion of the powder in the barrel without sacrificing the gun's performance. Thus eliminating common irregularities. By implementing these long barrels, higher speeds are achieved and mouse jumping and backtracking are greatly reduced.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image="100064" img_size="medium"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1 /4" ] [vc_column_text]

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text] THE IMPULSE SYSTEM uses powder gases, collected through ports in the barrel and transfers this energy to the slide through a hollow chamber (gas collector or impulse chamber) and a sliding element (transfer ring of impulse). This impulse equalizes mass irregularities and allows reliable operation even with heavy or long barrels.

... Because of the lack of mass to move—compared to a blowback design—the long barrel combination of the Luger 9mm shoots quietly.
.. shooting caliber .357Sig is a little more exciting. A little more kick, but not uncomfortable at all - and it doesn't feel like the recoil of the standard Glock barrels on the 31 and 32 models.
... It turns out to be a lot of fun to shoot, and the 30-round magazine costs more than originally expected.

The main advantage is a precision regulation barrel that differs from the original barrel by the best fittings, a special profile and last, but not least, the high viscosity steel material. Stainless - high quality steel with a special hardness preserves the viscosity and life of a barrel. No broken slopes, no cracks in the cartridge case. Best lasting results.
IGB Austria combines two worlds with its in-house blank production. Conventional field groove profiles are used for better bullet or lead bullet control. If you look closely at the profile, you will see that the angle between the groove and the field looks like a polygon (60°) with slightly rounded edges. For this reason, IGB barrels have a longer life and are easier to clean than others.
Unparalleled density. Hard on the surface, "soft" inside. The parameters for a barrel to be stiff/viscous and flexible are not mutually exclusive, but integrated in the production of IGB Austria barrels. IGB Austria forces the tool through the barrel with tons of pressure. The result is a precision, mirror-polished canon with excellent vibration characteristics and durability.
The barrels produced by IGB Austria are considered the modern method of Hardening - Plasmanitration. Smooth hard diamond surface with no known weakness in the tenifer process (loss of flakes of material on the inner surface). Plasmanitration typically gives a very dark gray surface, corrosion resistant and close to diamond hardness.

IGB Austria works with special machines adapted in-house to ensure the best quality and precision. IGB Barrels - Although they are sold as drop-ins, they always go to the edge of the best fit. Tolerances are tight and optimized for shooters needs.
Polygonal or corrugated riffles have shallower channels than traditional (ground and groove) riffles. This allows a minimum of gas to escape around the bullet exiting the barrel. It also creates a larger bearing surface which increases speed and accuracy. This is extremely important when shooting through windows/doors or other hard surfaces.

As you might expect, there are companies looking for a way to tap into the pistol caliber carbine segment through some interesting avenues. American Manufacturing Group sent us their Lock, Stock and Barrel conversion kit for the Glock 17. The concept seems a little odd, but what the hell, I'll give anything.
Before heading to the range, I called my friend Scott to show him the new lock, stock and barrel kit. We pulled out a tired old Gen 2 Glock 17 and began the process of turning a pistol into a rifle.
Fgc 9 16 Inch Barrel, Which Route Should I Take?
Once the gun is removed from the field and the recoil spring assembly and barrel have been set aside they will no longer be needed. If you are adapting the kit to a Gen4 gun, just replace the barrel and keep the recoil spring assembly.
Sliding the barrel into the slide is similar to inserting the factory barrel, except you need to remove the locknut and piston to fit the barrel through the hole. As you can see in the photo below, there are three ports on the barrel to supply the necessary gases for the slide to operate.
Once the barrel is in the piston/bushing slides over the barrel and the tapered part extends into the slide to keep everything centered. The next step is to thread the retaining nut onto the thread, tighten it to hold everything in place and then back off enough to center the lock screw on one of the planes on the thread.
The kit comes with a heavier recoil spring assembly for Gen 1-3 Glock 17s; The kit comes with an adapter for Gen 4 guns, but the instructions recommend keeping the stock unit instead.

The Joker would be proud to shoot the Batplane with this guy. Unfortunately, we found during testing that the 16″ barrel was not reliable to shoot without the stock. Since the kit is meant to be used as a rifle, I guess it's not a big deal.
Attaching the parts is a simple operation, pull the latch and turn it 90 degrees to remove the pin and slide the frame cap into the empty grip hole. Then make sure the back of the frame connects to the top and insert the pin through the liner hole. The whole process only takes a few minutes from start to finish, making for a fairly easy conversion.
It looks a little goofy when it's all assembled, and I don't mind the cartoon look as long as it works well. While we found magazine changes a little difficult due to the position of the button while performing some dry fire drills, the practice mag changes would be easier and faster.
Pulling the lock, the game and the barrel was a bit strange. While at the range we put the kit on a Gen4 Glock 17 to be able to operate the left hand magazine. I found this made magazine changes easier than the Gen 2 pistol.
Pmm Threaded Barrels For Glock
Aside from some minor hiccups that I attributed to the cheaper 115 grain bullets, the lock set, stock and barrel were pretty reliable for range use. Based on the performance after shooting about 100+P+124 grenade defense bullets, I'm not sure if I'd trust the conversion in a defense situation, but I could see using it as a range toy or to acclimate new shooters.
My friend Mike came out with me to test the kit while dying. We found that shooting at about 25 yards was a fun enough accurate conversion. We tried shooting the Glock
