pdp compact vs glock 19

Pdp Compact Vs Glock 19 - So it was decided to buy a new Walther - the main reason was the second version of Just Why I Can.

Form, fit, function and shooting were all flawless. Nothing less was expected. I have used many Walthers over the years and have always been impressed: PPk, P99, P-38, PPQ, PPS, CCP and P22. This model was no different - it's actually just an updated version of the previous models. For example, if you liked PPQ (and I did), do the same for PDP.

The trigger is great - one of the best out of the box for a plastic gun, and the PPQ paved the way for a while back.

Since I like the Glock 19 and its size fits almost most of my EDC preferences, I opted for the compact PDP version. Lots of options for different slide and frame configurations to suit your style. I'll be replacing my sights with my newest favourite: fibre/tritium. The S-shaped (small) back strap suits me best. The ergonomics are fantastic (hey Glock, are you listening?) and the new textured surfaces are great [I've taken many of my Glocks off over the years to get a better feel. I also tried a lot of stickers and stuff, but they all had problems with the adhesive delaminating]. Dimensions are only slightly larger than G19 in several measurement areas; Otherwise about the same size. Over time, I plan to shoot a lot more out of it: a minimum of 500 is my standard for a break-in, and 2,000 rounds is my personal benchmark for reliability and handling.

Will it be able to take the G19 out of my EDC holster? You just have to see. I've tried many models over time, and I keep coming back to the G19 - not sure exactly why, especially considering how many excellent models are now available to compete with the Glock - and many of them far outperform the G19 ergonomically (although that's not most important). A good example is my H&K VP9SK - it's a fantastic piece and shoots/handles/performs like a house on fire: I really thought this would be my primary EDC and the G19 will be hanging around in the safe a lot more... time and tide take me back to -G19. Same goes for other brands/models I've tried. I liked all of them and kept them around, but for me a new weapon would have to hit the mark for me to carry something new on a regular basis instead of the G19. Right now, it looks promising for PDP… but I've said it before.

PDP is an excellent choice. I recently opted for both a full-size and a compact PDP. I regularly shoot the Glock 19 and 17 and decided to give both PDPs a try. On my first day at the range, I was quite happy with both the compact and full size PDP. I have aftermarket triggers on both of my Glocks and was immediately impressed with the factory trigger on the PDP. It's hard to choose between the Glock and the PDP as I've had my Glocks for a while and have put many rounds through them. I like the ergonomics and overall feel of the PDP better. The first thing I noticed about the PDP is how loose it feels when empty, it seems to rattle much more than any other weapon I've owned, however once loaded it seems fine. I'm used to shooting a Glock, so it took me a few magazines to dial in the PDP. Once I ran a few magazines in it, I really started to like it. Both are great guns and it's hard to choose between the Glock 19 and the PDP, but I have to say I'm leaning more towards the PDP.
